Engineering group Monadelphous Limited has signed an infrastructure construction contract with a value of approximately $100 million for the construction of a gas pipeline in Western Australia.

The contract, signed with the Fortescue River Gas Pipeline Joint Venture, is for the construction of the Fortescue River Gas Pipeline from Compressor Station 1 on the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline to the Fortescue Metals Group’s Solomon Hub in the Pilbara.

The contract will be delivered by Monadelphous KT, and is expected to be completed in late 2014.

“Following the recent award of the Wheatstone Ashburton West Pipeline project, we are pleased to continue our relationship with the DBP Development Group on the construction of another important gas pipeline in WA,” Monadelphous Managing Director Rob Velletri said.
