The Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) has submitted its Final Plan to the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) for the Australian Gas Networks South Australian Access Arrangement for the period 2026–31.
AGIG said it is a critical part of the energy supply chain in South Australia by delivering natural gas to more than 480,000 homes and businesses through the Australian Gas Networks distribution network.
Through an extensive engagement process with stakeholders and its customers, AGIG has been developing its plans for the 2026–31 access arrangement period, which sets out how it plans to invest in its South Australian networks to deliver for current and future customers.
Some key commitments in the plan are:
- Prices will fall by one per cent (after inflation) from July 2026, in line with consistent feedback from customers advising us that pricing and affordability is their number one priority
- AGIG will maintain its strong track record of excellent customer service
- AGIG will continue to invest in a sustainable energy future
AGIG said it has worked really closely with customers, its South Australian Reference Group and Retailer Reference Group in developing this Final Plan, and the utility believes it delivers for current and future customers.
AGIG will start the next phase of engagement with customers and stakeholders once the AER releases its draft decision later in 2025.
