APA Group is in discussion with Santos regarding a new pipeline between Narrabri and Tamworth, NSW.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the pipeline would be about 200km long and transport gas from Santos’s proposed $2 billion Narrabri project to the existing APA pipeline grid in NSW.

APA is also a lead contender to build another pipeline linking the Northern Territory with the National Gas Grid. This connection would improve supply to the dynamic east coast gas market, allowing APA to respond efficiently to market needs.

APA Group Executive Transmission told the newspaper, “We are not picking winners, we are just making sure that if there is pipeline infrastructure to be built to bring gas to market, whether it is from Victoria, New South Wales or the Northern Territory, we want to be part of that.”
