Local residents had the opportunity to learn more about Arrow Energy’s proposed Bowen Gas Project and the Arrow Bowen Pipeline at community information sessions held in early March.
The sessions, held in Moranbah, Middlemount, and Gracemere, provided the latest details on Arrow’s Bowen Gas Project, a proposal to expand the company’s existing gas fields and infrastructure in the Bowen Basin; and the Arrow Bowen Pipeline, which will transport gas from Moranbah to Gladstone.
Arrow Energy’s General Manager Community Relations, Glenda Viner, said “We held a series of briefings for suppliers late last year and in January, so this series was primarily aimed at the wider community.
“The enthusiastic response we received on this community engagement tour shows the value of keeping people in touch with our plans, which is something we’ve done since the very early stages in the project cycle.
“Our plans have been refined since our last visit and people like to hear this from the company itself, rather than an intermediary source like the news media or our website.
“We took lots of questions about specifics – access to properties, supply opportunities, and drilling techniques, for instance.
“We brought along our subject matter experts in water, field infrastructure, local content, and pipeline construction, and people seemed genuinely pleased to be able to discuss their questions with them one-on-one.”
