Arup has appointed a new leader of their Victorian Water Business.

Jackie Moss has had a distinguished career spanning over two decades in the water industry, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the role.

Ms Moss joins Arup from Melbourne Water, where she held key positions including serving as the Head of Service Enablement One Water.

Arup said Ms Moss’ tenure at Melbourne Water was marked by significant contributions to the development of the Western Treatment Plant, the organisation’s largest augmentation program, and the implementation of sustainability initiatives including energy planning, greenhouse gas emissions reduction programs, resource recovery initiatives, and contributing to the planning of the organisation’s five-year goals for decarbonisation and circular economy.

In the new role at Arup, Ms Moss will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of the Victorian water business, with a focus on helping water utility clients to increase treatment and distribution system resilience, supporting decarbonisation, and enhancing water security.

Arup said Ms Moss’ commitment to delivering sustainable, customer-focused outcomes and her ability to translate complex technical challenges into effective solutions align perfectly with Arup’s mission to shape a sustainable future.

Ms Moss’ leadership will also be key in enhancing client engagement and developing innovative water projects.

She will work closely with Arup’s local, regional and global leadership teams to foster strong relationships and deliver impactful solutions.

Ms Moss is a member of the Engineers Australia, a Chartered Professional Engineer (Environmental and Chemical), and holds Bachelor of Environmental Engineering, a Bachelor of Chemistry (BE/BSc Hons1), and a Masters of Business Administration.
