To strengthen its commitment to customers, Ausgrid will consolidate several internal units and has unveiled a major executive-level appointment that will commence effective immediately.
Ausgrid’s new Customer group will comprise their Customer Connections and Customer & Commercial business units and be led by Fatima Bazzi.
Ausgrid CEO, Marc England, said the decision highlights the company’s commitment to a deeper engagement with its customers.
“As our customer base and network requirements continue to grow and evolve, this exciting change reinforces our essential focus on customers across the business – right up to the top,“ Mr England said.
“On behalf of the Board and Executives, I congratulate Fatima Bazzi on her appointment and look forward to the significant contribution she will make as a member of our Executive Leadership Team in enhancing the experience for all Ausgrid customers.”
Ausgrid said Ms Bazzi brings 16 years of diverse Ausgrid experience to the role, having worked across many critical areas of the business, including Asset Management, Network Operations, Transformation, and Portfolio Planning.
Ms Bazzi led the Customer Connections business unit in CA&D, delivering innovative projects such as Connections Excellence and driving a strategic focus on electrification growth for major customers.
She has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills in bringing teams together, reengineering processes and performance, and driving significant change to improve stakeholder engagement and support for customers.
Other appointments include Ellen Lambridis as Chief Financial Officer in August 2025 who joined as the Group Executive responsible for the Finance & Business Services Group.
