CitiPower and Powercor have established Beon Energy Solutions, a re-branding of previous Energy Solutions that provides energy solutions for utility, commercial and residential customers.

In the 10 months since it launched as CitiPower and Powercor Energy Solutions in January 2016, the team has grown rapidly and achieved commercial success by focusing on facilitating customer choice in an open and competitive market.

Glen Thomson, General Manager, Beon Energy Solutions, said, “We delivered the $38 million Ararat Terminal Station 22 days ahead of schedule; continue to deliver the electrification of our expanding transport network; realised Victoria’s largest solar Environmental Upgrade Agreement and have sold more than 3MW of solar panels year to date.

“We are really proud of the role we’ve played in finding the right energy solutions for utilities, private network owners and commercial and residential customers.

“We will continue to provide services at a level that customers have come to expect from us and our parent company. Our strong performance track record in safety, reliability and technical expertise positions us for future success.”

The rebrand of Beon Energy Solutions follows the release of the Australian Energy Regulator’s final ring fencing guidelines.

“Other than the change to our brand, the ring-fencing guidelines effectively only has a positive impact on our business.

“We are still the same group of talented people driven by the same values, using the same processes to deliver innovative and cost effective solutions for our customers in a safe and consistent manner,” Mr Thomson said.
