Australian Utility Week, being held from 29-30 November at the Australian Technology Park in Sydney, will explore the theme of building infrastructure to support the operational excellence goals of utilities and future energy services.
The conference and exhibition is in its 14th year and brings together more than 1,500 utility professionals from around Australia and New Zealand to interact and share ideas about the future of the industry.
Each year, the conference develops strategies to engage with the market and the 2016 strategy revolves around the digital utility ecosystem, including advanced metering infrastructure.
Day one of the conference explores the theme of building new utility services, while day two looks at new ways to create more customer value.
The two-day conference also discusses the energy service model; digital model adoption; maintenance and operations; smart grid and digital meters; solar storage integration; the Internet of Things; and the idea of a customer–centric business model.
Australian Utility Week aims to identify sustainable solutions for the challenges the industry is currently facing, including the significance part that technology plays.
The conference also features the Australian Utility Innovators Awards which honours utilities that have had great success in 2016.
