Yarra Valley Water (YVW) has recognised Comdain Infrastructure as a provider of Exemplary Service during the delivery of the Craigieburn Link Water Main project.

Comdain’s Senior Project Manager Adam Maher, Project Manager Ronan Daly, and two YVW personnel, were presented with an award from YVW’s Managing Director, Pat McCafferty earlier this month.

Although Adam and Ronan were presented awards, it was the outstanding community orientated actions of the Comdain field staff that YVW acknowledged to be shining examples of Exemplary Service.

The team was nominated for their professionalism and management through the construction delivery of the Craigieburn Link Main project. Extensive planning and community consultation were undertaken ensuring the public’s safety was maintained at all times during the complex works along Craigieburn Road.

A local resident, and YVW customer, was impressed by the way the workers carried out their duties and felt compelled to write a letter to YVW’s customer service department. In her letter she writes:

“Everyone seemed to know exactly what was needed to be done and when. All the finished areas look better than they did before the project. I am 80 years old and have seen some trouble jobs and workers in my time. Yarra Valley Water should be proud of them.”

Comdain’s Senior Project Manager, Adam Maher, said “The award reflects the efforts of everyone involved, specifically the Comdain field crews and the collaborative relationships between Comdain and YVW project management personnel.”

A YVW spokesperson commented, “This team has personified what we try to achieve with our Strategy, especially the way we work enables Extraordinary Performance and We Provide Exemplary Service. They have worked together to provide a service experience for the customers impacted by the construction works that is second to none.”

Comdain’s Chief Executive Officer, Peter Coen, was pleased with the recognition and said “Comdain has a 50 year history of project delivery success and we are acutely aware that a successful project includes a proactive community and stakeholder strategy. I am very proud of our team once again ‘taking the lead’ and being a professional face for our client, Yarra Valley Water.”
