NBN Co construction executive general manager Richard Thorpe is leaving the company, it has been reported.

The departure was announced in an internal email sent by COO Greg Adcock and seen by a number of news sources including the Australian Financial Review.

“I regret to inform you that Richard Thorpe, NBN Co’s EGM Construction will be leaving the company,” Mr Adcock said. “Please join me in thanking Richard for the contribution he has made to the NBN over the past 15 months.”

Mr Thorpe was appointed to the position last year and will be temporarily replaced by NBN Co’s implementation general manager, Peter Ryan.

Jan de Kock will replace Mr Ryan as NBN Co’s acting implementation general manager.

“Both appointments come into effect immediately and will remain in place for the duration of the COO organisational review,” Mr Adcock said.
