Construction works are underway on the Wyreema Water and Sewerage Project (QLD) that will deliver key water and sewerage infrastructure to the area.
The project includes the construction of a sewerage pump station and sewer pressure pipeline that will replace the existing Wyreema and Cambooya wastewater treatment facility.
Upon completion, all wastewater that is currently received at the existing facility will be transferred via the Westbrook sewer network to Council’s Wetalla Water Reclamation Facility for treatment.
The project also includes the construction of a water supply pipeline from Westbrook that will connect to the existing Wyreema water supply reservoir to support Wyreema’s growing water demand.
The project is expected to be completed late 2015.
