Seqwater has appointed two new global contractors to aid in the design of the Sideling Creek Dam upgrade.

Engineering and infrastructure advisory firm, Aurecon and specialist power and water consulting firm, Entura have been chosen in partnership to support the upgrade.

Aurecon and Entura are partnering to deliver detailed design advisory for the upgrade of Sideling Creek Dam. The appointment follows a dam safety review and recent completion of complementary investigations and preliminary design of the upgrade work.

Sideling Creek Dam is located in the Moreton Bay regional area, approximately 24km north of Brisbane. The 23m high zoned earthfill dam was built in 1969 and upgraded in 1984. It consists of a 500m long embankment main dam and an 8m high, 70m long embankment saddle dam.
