A medical facility found itself in need of a new generator after a failure with its existing solution and, as a customised approach was needed, it sought help from the team at Allight.

Once it had an understanding of the media facility’s unique needs, Allight put together a tailored quote for the installation of a changeover switch and FG Wilson genset. Upon acceptance, Allight needed to be absolutely certain that it was providing the best fit solution, so the service team conducted a site visit to assess fitment requirements and address potential challenges upfront.
The medical facility selected a P22-6 FG Wilson generator, featuring a powerful four-cylinder Perkins diesel engine, ensuring optimum performance in both standby and prime power applications.
When the work was ready to commence, the Allight Service team coordinated the HIAB delivery and fuelling of the genset to ensure a well-orchestrated process with minimal disruption.
During this installation phase, Allight worked alongside the electrical contractor to ensure all electrical standards were met. The Allight Service team removed the old unit and positioned the new FG Wilson genset, while the electrical contractor expertly wired the genset and CTI changeover switch, ensuring a seamless electrical connection.
During the commissioning and load testing phase, it was important that Allight’s service team took a strategic approach to avoid unnecessary or prolonged disruptions and outages.
The team worked with the medical facility to schedule a planned outage on a weekend, allowing Allight’s service team to validate the system’s performance and reliability and proceed with a controlled transition.
