APA Group has awarded a contract for the Eastern Goldfields Pipeline – Gas Pipeline Facilities Project.

Works are scheduled to commence immediately.

VALMEC Limited has been awarded the contract that is expected to run through until works are completed in November 2015.

VALMEC’s scope of work will comprise the supply, fabrication, installation, construction and testing of facilities required as part of APA Group’s $140 Million Eastern Gas Pipeline Project.

When complete, APA will transport gas a total distance of 1,500km to mining operations in the eastern Goldfields region in Western Australia through three of its interconnected pipelines – the Goldfields Gas Pipeline, the Murray Murrin Lateral and the new 292km Easter Goldfields Pipeline which is currently under construction.

“We are delighted to have received this latest contract award from APA Group on this strategic Western Australian project and are looking forward to continuing our strong working relationship,” VALMEC Managing Director, Steve Dropulich said.

“With an active tender pipeline, diversity of revenues and ongoing development of our full project lifecycle capabilities, VALMEC remains very well positioned to deliver further growth in the years ahead.”
