AusNet Services is undertaking large-scale maintenance on power lines that cover the majority of the Mansfield Shire (VIC).

The maintenance works will occur on 24 November and will require shutdown of electricity supply to 7,600 customers in this area for part or all of the day.

Towns affected included Merton, Barjarg, Mt Buller, Archerton, Mansfield, Bonnie Doon, Jamieson and Woods Point.

The shutdown will allow AusNet Services to complete works in the Mansfield zone substation and on feeder lines around the Merrijig-Mt Buller and Jamieson-Woods Point areas before the bushfire season.

AusNet Services has been liaising with key stakeholders in the Mansfield Shire, and also contacted life support customers and critical supply customers such as telecommunications networks directly.
