Power and Water Corporation has teamed up with Mousellis and Sons contractors to repair a damaged sewer main in Darwin’s CBD.

The sewer main, located on the corner of Mitchell and Daly Streets, took three days to repair and involved excavation to remove the large 450 damaged sewer main and preparation for installation of the new section of sewer.

Power and Water’s Project Manager, Matt Canard, was really pleased with the co-operative approach ensuring the job went ahead seamlessly.

“This was a very complex emergency breakdown job and contractor Mousellis and Sons were organised, great to work with and took pride in what they did,” Mr Cannard said.

“This professional approach from the contractor meant the job went ahead quickly and without any hold-ups, which is a great outcome for Power and Water and for our customers.

“The site was also left in a clean state and developers BMD who are building in the area, were also very happy,” Mr Cannard said.
