The managing director of an Australian power company has been selected as a finalist for the Energy and Resources Executive of the Year Award.

WA Horizon Power Managing Director, Frank Tudor, is a finalist in The CEO Magazine’s 2015 national Executive of the Year Awards.

Mr Tudor is the only Western Australian nominated for the Energy and Resources Executive of the Year Award who has made it through to be a finalist.

The national awards recognise the achievements of individual executives over the past year and the contributions they have made to their companies.

Mr Tudor said he was honoured to be selected as a finalist and his nomination reflected the ongoing hard work and dedication of all Horizon Power employees.

“I would like to win this award for my team to ensure they receive the recognition they rightly deserve for the change we achieved in reducing the cost of a government owned business by more than 50 per cent, while still maintaining the faith of the community and our customers.”

Mr Tudor has been Managing Director of Horizon Power, Western Australia’s State Government owned regional electricity supplier, since 2012.

He has over 27 years experience in the European, Asian and Australian oil, gas and power industries where he has held various executive management roles.

Winners will be announced at a gala dinner in Melbourne in November.
