Rotronic, part of Process Sensing Technologies, has launched a new version of its HygroCal humidity validation instrument, which speeds up on-site validation of relative humidity (RH) sensors.
The lightweight, portable HygroCal100 Advanced allows on-site technical and quality control teams to make quick and simple evaluations of up to seven RH probes at once.
The Rotronic HygroCal100 Advanced (HC100A) is a fully integrated, standalone instrument, for validating humidity sensors from five per cent to 95 per cent RH. This makes it ideal for a wide range of laboratory and process applications.
Its re-engineered sealed internal test chamber ensures that both the stability and uniformity across the chamber are consistent to within ±0.5 per cent RH. With separate saturation and desiccation reservoirs, changing measurement conditions simply requires ambient air to be passed through either reservoir.
Its internal reference, Rotronic’s advanced HC2A-S probe, provides accurate humidity and temperature measurements within 0.8 per cent RH and 0.1°C, with low annual drift. The probes’ on-board memory means they can be easily exchanged. Rotronic also offers additional reference device choices for sophisticated users, such as handheld humidity instruments and precision chilled mirrors.
An advanced colour touchscreen interface enables quick and simple configuration and operation of the HC100A. Simplifying setup allows users to define the required calibration procedure. Once set, the calibration procedures will then run automatically.
All measurement and reference data can be stored within the internal memory or downloaded to a PC.
