Monadelphous KT (MKT) has filed a claim against DDG Fortescue River (DDG FR) to the Supreme Court of Western Australia over work MKT carried out on the Fortescue River Gas Pipeline project.

The claim relates to works completed by MKT for the joint venture in relation to the Fortescue River Gas Pipeline project that reached practical completion in March 2015.

The Fortescue River Gas Pipeline was a joint project between DG Fortescue River, and TEC Pilbara (a wholly owned subsidiary of TransAlta Energy Australia).

The pipeline runs from DBNGP’s compressor station one, around 150km south of Karratha, through to Solomon Hub, a distance of 270km.

The pipeline initially supplied natural gas to the 125MW TransAlta power station, which services Fortescue’s mining operations in the region.

DDG Fortescue River, owned by DUET Group, has released a statement, which said it will continue to vigorously defend its position in the proceedings.
