Funding is now open for Round 6 of the Sustaining the Basin: Irrigated Farm Modernisation (STGIFM) program. Irrigators are urged to take up the opportunity and apply for funding while it is still available.

Eligible project areas for Round 6 include:

  • NSW Border Rivers: General security (Class B), high security and supplementary entitlement;
  • Namoi River catchment downstream of Keepit Dam: General security, high security and supplementary entitlement;
  • Barwon Darling: Unregulated (Class B and C) entitlement.

Applications for infrastructure funding for Round 6 close on Friday 30 October 2015.

Irrigators wishing to submit an application for funding must have a DPI verified Irrigated Farm Water Use Efficiency Assessment (IFWUEA). Irrigators who need to prepare an IFWUEA must submit to DPI no later than Thursday 1 October 2015.

STBIFM is being delivered by the NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI). The Australian Government is providing up to $111M of funding from the ‘Sustainable Rural Water Use & Infrastructure’ program.
