Gentrack, a next gen solution provider for utilities, is working with EnergyAustralia to provide an innovative billing solution to help deliver a seamless customer billing experience for its ground-breaking product, Solar Home Bundle.

EnergyAustralia selected Gentrack to provide billing and flexibility solutions that support its commitment to provide customers with smart solutions that make the transition to clean energy simple and affordable.

The two teams successfully implemented Gentrack’s cloud billing solution on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and migrated existing Solar Home Bundle customers to the new platform. The technology is at the core of an integrated solution, including digital consumer engagement, field services management and automation, and a Virtual Power Plant (VPP) solution.

Gentrack’s compliance offering means big industry changes, like Consumer Data Rights, are provided with the product. Gentrack’s state-of-the-art business intelligence and analytics capabilities, based on Snowflake, provide compliance, operational and customer service insights for the business – leading to a better data driven result for all.

Jess Padman, Interim Head of Customer Assets, EnergyAustralia, said, “Our lead out behind the meter product, the Solar Home Bundle, changes the landscape for people wanting secure access to affordable renewable energy. It puts transitioning to a solar and battery system in the home within reach.

“Key to the success of Solar Home Bundle and our future products is our ability to deliver a simple and smart experience for customers that just works. Behind the scenes of Solar Home Bundle lies technology that handles the Customer Journey delivering value aligned with our keep it simple promise. We look forward to working with Gentrack to enhance our customers ‘experiences.”

Mark Humphreys, General Manager, Australia at Gentrack said, “Australia is leading the global deployment of technologies for home solar and battery adoption. These cleantech offerings represent the future of how people will consume and use energy in Australia and the world. The impact these innovations bring to net zero targets and customer price savings are significant.
