Geotab has launched an AI-powered GO Focus Pro dash cam in Australia and New Zealand. This expands its GO Focus family of video telematics solutions as fleet operators face increasing safety, compliance and operational pressures.
The launch comes as Geotab’s newly released Connected Fleets in Australia Report 2026 found driver fatigue remains the number one challenge facing Australian fleet managers. The report also found rising fuel costs, increasing compliance obligations and growing customer expectations are placing further pressure on fleet operations, while 53 per cent of Australian fleets now use in-cab video technology.
The GO Focus Pro is designed to help fleets reduce risk, improve driver safety and prevent collisions through AI-powered coaching and predictive risk detection. Natively integrated into the MyGeotab platform, it combines full 360-degree visibility with AI-powered safety intelligence and real-time in-cab alerts to help drivers identify and respond to potential risks before incidents occur.

Key features of the GO Focus Pro include support for up to five auxiliary cameras to provide 360-degree visibility of the vehicle, driver, cargo, trailers and surrounding environment, along with AI-powered detection of traffic light violations, forward collision risks and vulnerable road users in blind spots.
The system also includes automated driver scoring to identify repeat infractions and risky behaviours such as mobile phone use and fatigue, Smart Sequence™ event review to streamline incident management, automated coaching programs with real-time in-cab audio alerts, AI-powered facial recognition for driver identification, and a zero-latency backup monitor to assist with reversing, docking and other low-speed manoeuvres.
According to Geotab, the GO Focus Pro uses a fully AI-driven pipeline without systematic human review. The company said the system is designed to help fleets accelerate incident investigations, defend against false claims, reduce collisions, downtime and operating costs, and enable drivers to self-correct before high-impact events occur.
The GO Focus Pro joins the existing GO Focus family, which includes the GO Focus Plus and a suite of compatible auxiliary cameras, providing fleets with a range of video telematics options for different vehicle types, operational requirements and risk profiles.
