The water industry’s top thinkers and leaders are set to converge on regional Victoria next March, as Water Industry Operators Association of Australia (WIOA) prepares to host the 2026 Victorian Water Industry Operations Conference & Exhibition in Bendigo.

Returning to Bendigo on 25–26 March 2026, the highly anticipated event promises two full days of connection, collaboration and celebration across the operationally focused water sector.

The annual conference has become a cornerstone gathering for operators, technicians, engineers, suppliers and industry leaders — offering a platform to share knowledge, showcase innovation and recognise excellence in water operations.

WIOA is calling on industry professionals to actively participate in shaping the 2026 program. Attendees are invited to submit an abstract highlighting a project, initiative or innovative solution that can benefit the broader sector.

Whether presenting a technical paper or delivering insights through a more informal session, contributors will have the opportunity to showcase practical achievements and lessons learned from the field.

The conference will also shine a spotlight on the people who keep Victoria’s water systems running. Nominations are now open for awards for the the water operations workforce, including recognition for emerging talent through the New Operator Award. The opportunity is always a great chance to celebrate and thanks standout members of Victorian water utlities.

Adding to the excitement, the ever-popular Reece Civil + Viadux Main Tapping Competition will once again test skill, precision and teamwork, while the Ixom Best Tasting Tap Water Contest will crown Victoria’s finest drop.

With strong industry engagement already building, WIOA is looking forward to welcoming delegates to what promises to be another exceptional event in Bendigo.
