Icon Water has joined forces with another delivery partner to support its ten-year Major Projects Delivery Program.

Under the contract, Beca HunterH2O will collaborate with existing partners Seymour Whyte and VINCI Construction Grands Projects to transform Canberra’s wastewater supply.

The first project under this ambitious ten-year program involves the design and construction of a new wastewater process to augment the existing capacity of the Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre (LMWQCC) in Canberra, ACT.

Beca Group CEO, Amelia Linzey, said, “We are passionate about water and infrastructure to help communities prosper. We are looking forward to this partnership bringing great success to our team, our project partners and to the communities these projects serve.”

Beca Australia Managing Director, Andrew Mailer, said that Australia needs resilient, sustainable and cost-effective water infrastructure to help support the complex challenges of its growing communities and changing environment.

“We are proud to be involved in this project that will rely on Beca HunterH2O’s leading multi-disciplinary technical expertise, particularly in the areas of treatment design, and process engineering innovation,” Mr Mailer said.

Seymour Whyte Managing Director and CEO, John Kirkwood, said, “Together with Icon Water and Beca HunterH2O, and leveraging the combined expertise of Seymour Whyte and VINCI Construction Grands Projects, our team brings a wealth of global experience and innovative practices to deliver sustainable infrastructure solutions that will create lasting environmental and community benefits for years to come.”
