The 2019 Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting competition took place from 21 to 24 February, with an Australian sample from Wannon Water competing for the world’s best tasting water.

The Australian sample won a silver medal at the competition; a great result for the Australian water industry.

Clearbrook in British Columbia, Canada, won the municipal competition for the fifth time, creating a new record, and bronze went to a previous medallist, Independence, from Missouri in the US.

According to event organisers, all five continents had waters among the 112 entered.

The Water Industry Operators Association of Australia (WIOA) has said it is excited to be hosting the 2019 Australian national competition in a town with the second best water in the world.
