Irrigation Australia (IAL) has appointed a new acting Chief Executive Office, to ensure the smooth transition and operation of IAL until a permanent CEO is found.
Current IAL director, Geoff Harvey, commenced as acting CEO on 11 January 2016.
Mr Harvey has worked in the water industry for 22 years in a number of senior management roles with Tubemakers/Tyco Water, Southern Cross Pumps and Irrigation Australia.
Mr Harvey has spent the past 12 years at Davey Water Products, with his most recent role being Davey’s General Manager, Sales and Marketing.
Mr Harvey chose to leave Davey and will now be based in IAL’s Sydney office while in the role.
Irrigation Australia’s board said they are confident in Mr Harvey’s credentials and experience for this role and believe he will ensure IAL members are well-represented.
