Work has begun to build a new water main, which is designed to expand water supply capacity, improve water quality, and enhance the resilience of Logan’s water network for years to come.
Logan Water’s Travis Road Reservoir Trunk Water Main project is a 7.6km, 600mm diameter water main that will connect the Southern Regional Water Pipeline (SRWP) to the Travis Road reservoir in Logan Village.

The project began with detailed design, incorporating innovative methods like horizontal directional drilling (HDD) to tunnel under Camp Cable Road and the Logan River, minimising public disruption during construction.
Mobilisation of both HDD and open trench sites commenced in late 2024, marking a significant milestone. Since then, HDD works have progressed smoothly across two key sites, each involving two drill shots: one for the mud return line and one for the water main.
Construction is now underway, with open trench works kicking off between Lady Ardeen Drive and Yore Road – which are expected to take approximately four months (weather and construction conditions permitting) to complete. Travis Road works will commence from February 2025.
