Ergon Energy has completed major upgrades of the power supply to Dundathu, St Helens, Prawle and Tandora (QLD).

Around 70 personnel from the Maryborough and Hervey Bay depots, contractors and traffic controllers have been working on site along Saltwater Creek Road, along with 12 bucket trucks and three borers.

They have upgraded four poles, changed 10 cross-arms and replaced 2.7km of high-voltage conductor to improve the safety, reliability and voltage stability of the supply to about 200 customers, as well as cater for future growth in that area.

The influx of crews enabled the work to be completed safely during a single, six-hour power supply interruption, rather than requiring multiple outages to complete the work in stages.

Ergon Energy thanks customers and motorists for their patience and understanding as crews were able to work as quickly and safely as possible to complete the work and reinstate the power supply.
