Marinus Link has announced the departure of CEO Bess Clark, who has led the transmission project since 2017.
Caroline Wykamp has been appointed as Interim CEO until an open process is conducted to appoint a permanent CEO.
Marinus Link Board Chair, Samantha Hogg, said, “Caroline is an authority in the energy markets with over 25 years’ experience spanning wholesale, retail and renewable markets. She has had senior positions with large commercial organisations including Hydro Tasmania, Origin Energy and Jemena.
“MLPL is now at an important transition point as it moves to the pre-construction phase and in preparation for a final investment decision – a good time for the company to transition to new leadership to take the project forward,” Ms Hogg said.
Ms Wykamp commenced her position on 18 January 2023 and will be supported by Ms Bess until she formally departs the business in April 2023.
