Following the departure of Caroline Wykamp, Marinus Link Pty Ltd (MLPL) has appointed Dr Collette Burke as Interim CEO to lead the Marinus Link project through to a final investment decision.

MLPL Chair, Sandra Gamble, said, “Collette brings a wealth of experience leading similar organisations and projects, and the Board is confident in her ability to drive us toward success as CEO.”

Dr Burke has spent more than 30 years in the engineering and construction industry in both the private and public sectors. She has worked in all states of Australia as well as overseas, and has moved through a variety of roles within energy, telecommunications, road, tunnel, rail, building, health, marine and other major infrastructure projects.

Current Acting CEO, Andrew Hugo, will return to his substantive role as CFO.

“I want to recognise the significant efforts of Andrew in leading the organisation in recent months. His leadership throughout this transitional period has been invaluable and is greatly appreciated by the Board,” Ms Gamble said.

“The CFO portfolio is essential to the project’s success. Right now, we need an experienced CFO like Andrew to dedicate his focus to leading this work.”

Recruitment for a permanent CEO will continue, with the intention to appoint by the middle of 2025.
