Construction has commenced on a new 450mm sewer in Hervey Bay, QLD.

Bothar Boring & Tunnelling are installing the sewer using microtunnelling, following a route along Main St, Pialba and have been setting up the site since the beginning of August

According to Wide Bay Water Corporation the new sewer will divert flows from one catchment to another to reduce loads on the existing 40-year-old sewer system.

Works are scheduled for completion by the end of October, 2013.
