MidCoast Water’s general manager has retired after 43 years service to local government.

Robert Loadsman has been the general manager of the water and sewer authority for the Manning, Great Lakes and Gloucester areas for the past four years.

Mr Loadsman began his career in local government at Sydney City Council before spending time at North Sydney, Botany, Great Lakes and Greater Taree City Council. For the past 17 years he has been with MidCoast Water.

Mr Loadsman said he felt very proud to have played a part in the formation and success of the organisation, having being part of the senior management team almost since day one.

The MidCoast Water board, led by chairperson councillor Aled Hoggett, expressed his thanks to Mr Loadsman for his service to MidCoast Water and local government.

The MidCoast Water board will soon be entering a recruitment process which will result in the appointment of a new general manager in the new year.
