nbn’s 2015-2016 Annual Report has reported the company has exceeded all key targets for the financial year by doubling the number of premises able to connect to the NBN, as well as improving partnerships with delivery partners and retail service providers.

The results were released as part of the nbn Annual Report 2015-2016 to Parliament outlining the operational and financial results for the financial year.

The key report results included:

  • More than one in four premises can order an NBN service
  • Activations more than doubled in one year
  • The successful launch of three products including Fibre-to-the-node (FTTN), hybrid fibre coaxial (HFC) and Sky Muster services
  • Ready for Service footprint has more than doubled

The report also highlight the expansion of the NBN to connect Australia and bridge the digital divide, by outlining the incremental progress of the rollout by technology type and the financial performance throughout the year.

The expectations for the 2016/17 financial year were also outlined with progress expecting to double from the 2015/16 financial year and the NBN rollout to be almost halfway completed.
