nbn has appointed a new non-executive director to their board to fill the role left by Alison Lansley’s departure.
Shirley In’t Veld has been appointed a non-executive director, commencing December 2015.
nbn chairman, Dr Ziggy Switkowski, said, “Shirley brings a wealth of experience from more than 15 years in senior positions including infrastructure and industrial companies.
“We look forward to Shirley joining the nbn board, adding her expertise and contributing fresh insights in this marvellously dynamic enterprise.”
Ms In’t Veld’s previous experience includes board appointments at Asciano Limited, CSIRO, Duet Company Limited and Perth Airport.
Ms In’t Veld was the managing director of Verve Energy, Western Australia’s biggest electricity generator from 2007 to 2012, and has had senior roles with Alcoa, WMC Resources, Bond Corporation and BankWest.
She has a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne
Dr Switkowski also acknowledged the contribution of outgoing board member, Alison Lansley.
“Alison played an important role in the evolution of nbn over the past three years and leaves the business pointed in the right direction and with good momentum. We thank her for her contribution and wish her well,” Dr Switkowski said.
