The Western Australian Water Minister, Dave Kelly, has appointed a new Chair of the Water Corporation Board.
Ross Love has been appointed to the role, with over 25 years of experience in leadership roles with Boston Consulting Group in Australia and New York.
Mr Love is also currently Chair of Fremantle Ports and board member of the Western Australian Regional Development Trust.
Mr Love’s experience bridges both corporate and government sectors, including airlines and airports, commuter rail, retail and resources.
“I welcome Ross Love to the Water Corporation’s Board,” Mr Kelly said.
“He brings a strong track record of strategy development and execution plus a wealth of corporate expertise and high-level leadership skills to the Water Corporation.
“I look forward to working with Mr Love to help guide Western Australia’s most important utility as it deals with the challenges of climate change.”
The Water Corporation Board, in consultation with management, sets its strategic direction and ensures rigorous corporate governance standards are met.
Board members are appointed by the Governor of Western Australia, on the nomination of the Water Minister.
Mr Love’s appointment as Chair of the Water Corporation Board is effective from 22 September 2020 for a term until 31 December 2022.
Mr Lock, who has been a board member since 2014 and Acting Chair since January 2020, will remain on the board as Deputy Chair.
“I thank Acting Chair, David Lock, for serving the board well since January this year, and I’m pleased that he is going to remain on the board as Deputy Chair,” Mr Kelly said.
