South East Water has welcomed a new addition to its executive leadership team, with the appointment of Tim Lloyd as the organisation’s new General Manager Service Delivery.

Mr Lloyd will commence the role from 11 November 2024, and is a seasoned senior operations leader with over 30 years’ experience in utilities and essential infrastructure service providers.

Before joining South East Water, Mr Lloyd was General Manager, Network Control and Operations with AusNet Services, leading their regional service delivery team, network operations and planning.

Mr Lloyd has also held significant roles at Thiess and Severn Trent Water, one of the largest privatised water utilities in England and Wales. He brings a wealth of experience in asset, contract and emergency management, SCADA functions, water quality and customer contact centres.

South East Water Managing Director, Lara Olsen, is pleased to welcome Mr Lloyd to the team.

“Tim’s extensive experience in utility operations and maintenance will help take us forward in delivering our strategy for our customers, communities, people and environment while innovating with purpose and acting with care.

“We’re impressed with his strong commitment to safety and wellbeing which we value as an organisation. His passion and commitment in building resilience and empowering staff and teams also shines through,” Ms Olsen said.

At South East Water, Mr Lloyd will oversee network maintenance and operations, asset performance and resilience, and treatment and recovery services, including water recycling plants. He’s no stranger to the organisation, having previously led South East Water’s maintenance function in partnership with Thiess.

South East Water’s 2028 strategy builds on the organisation’s long history of innovation and care for 1.8 million people across Melbourne’s south-east.

The organisation is committed to delivering for its community and has identified 5 strategic focus areas to help drive the most impact: empower our people, deliver for our customers, protect our environment, optimise our operations and innovate at scale.
