The Australasian Society for Trenchless Technology (ASTT) has elected a new President at its Annual General Meeting.

Steve Apeldoorn, Director of ProjectMax, was unanimously elected to the role. Steve has previously been both Vice President and NZ Councillor, and is the first New Zealander to hold the Presidency of the society.

Outgoing President, Trevor Gosatti, who has been in the role since 2009, reflected on the successes of the past six years, particularly the national conferences that he has been involved with, and wished Steve all the best.

Steve took the opportunity to thank Trevor for his strong leadership over the years. Trevor will continue to be involved with the ASTT as Immediate Past President.

Chris Frangos, of Abergeldie Watertech, and also the Victorian Councillor, was elected to the position of Vice President.
