The Whitsunday Regional Council will be installing a new 375mm diameter sewer rising main in the region.

The sewer rising main will stretch from the Beach Road and Shute Harbour Road intersection to the pump station at Pandanus Drive, Cannonvale.

The project will include trenching, installing the pipe and backfilling works in the designated area. New pavement, driveways and kerb and channel works will also be undertaken in places where affected by the installation of the sewer rising main.

Works will commence in October 2015 and are anticipated to extend to January 2016.

The Whitsunday Regional Council will endeavour to keep disruptions to a minimum, but has said that access to some properties will be restricted from time to time. The site foreman will discuss this and alternate arrangements with affected residents prior to undertaking the works.
