A National Business Water Efficiency Benchmarking website, named NBweb, has been created to allow businesses to assess their water use. Fourteen industry partners were involved in this Smart Water funded project, led by South East Water.
The online tool gathers valuable water use information across business sectors to establish water use benchmarks.
NBweb offers the opportunity for a business to self-assess against water efficiency benchmarks and compare their performance against similar industry sectors.
The website offers 36 industry-specific fact sheets to help the user understand best practice standards.
As data is gathered, water utilities and their customers will be able to better understand their water use, inform water efficiency investments and identify priorities and best practice activities.
Water utilities can become partners for an annual fee. This can all be done through NBweb.
