The Victorian Government has opened round two of the New Energy Jobs Fund (NEJF) with a total of $6 million available to help communities, industry and businesses develop projects that create jobs and support clean energy.
Grants of between $20,000 and $1 million are available to support new energy technology projects that support the uptake of renewable energy, reduce emissions, and assist community groups to develop their own projects.
Close to 100 applications were received in round one of the New Energy Jobs Fund, resulting in 24 successful projects receiving a total of over $5.8 million in grants.
Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change, Lily D’Ambrosio, said, “We’re putting people first by creating jobs, attracting investment and making our energy supplies cleaner.
“I was encouraged to see such a strong response to the first round of the New Energy Jobs Fund, Victorians are clearly embracing the opportunities that clean energy presents.”
Applications close 1 March 2017 and successful projects will be announced in mid-2017.
