North Warrandyte Sewerage Project update

Works are currently underway to provide sewerage services in the North Warrandyte (VIC) area as part of Yarra Valley Water’s (YVW) Sewerage Backlog Program.

YVW is currently working with officers from Nillumbik and Manningham Councils and VicRoads to finalise design of pipelines to connect the new sewer network with the existing Warrandyte sewerage network south of the Yarra River. The new, connecting sewer pipelines will be bored beneath the Yarra River, in the vicinity of the Kangaroo Ground – Warrandyte Road Bridge.

It is expected that these pipelines will be constructed in the latter half of 2015 and early 2016, pending planning approvals. Once the pipelines beneath the Yarra River are installed, this will mark the end of the North Warrandyte Sewerage construction project. Customers will be notified via a letter from Yarra Valley Water that they are able to connect to the new sewerage network.

During construction you may see some of our representatives in your street and partial lane closures will be required from time to time. In some cases full road closures may also be required for a period of time and you will be notified in advance if your property will be affected by these closures.
