Gordon Cairns, Chairman at Origin announced the appointment of a new independent Non-executive Director to its board and Remuneration and People Committee.
Teresa Engelhard has been appointed to the Origin board. Ms Engelhard has more than 20 years’ experience in the information, communication, technology and energy sectors as a senior executive and venture capitalist.
Ms Engelhard started her career at McKinsey & Company in California spending over a decade in Silicon Valley before moving to Australia in 2006.
More recently she has focused on emerging technology in the energy sector as a venture investor and board member. Teresa’s past directorships include Daintree Networks and Zen Ecosystems.
Ms Engelhard is also a Non-executive Director of RedBubble Ltd, Planet Innovation Ltd, StartupAUS, Redkite and is a member of Innovation and Science Australia’s Entrepreneurs’ Programme Committee.
Mr Cairns said, “We are delighted to welcome Teresa to the Board. Teresa’s extensive experience in disruption, technology, innovation and growth, together with her global corporate perspectives, will further strengthen the Origin Board and complement the skills of the existing Directors.”
