Ozwater’22, Australia’s most prominent water conference and trade exhibition, will run for three days from 10-12 May at the Brisbane Exhibition Convention Centre, with over 5000 public guests and delegates expected to attend.
Ozwater is the Australian Water Association’s (AWA) flagship annual conference and exhibition, the largest water event of its type in the Southern Hemisphere.
Alongside the conference, Ozwater’s trade exhibition will have a large display of products, services, and innovations with over 200 exhibitors.
Ozwater’s theme for 2022, ‘Our Water Journey’, is a celebration of the evolution of the water sector from its rich history, where it is now, and the future possibilities.
Ozwater’22 showcases 130 technical presentations, 82 pitch presentations, and a range of interactive workshops and panels.
These will include international and local experts, pitches from commercial tech companies, and ideas from water utilities, private sector companies, universities and research bodies, and government agencies.
Water professionals and academics have reviewed all technical papers and case studies. The top 12 papers will then be in the running to win the Ozwater’22 Best Paper & Presentation Award, announced online after Ozwater’22.

AWA CEO, Corinne Cheeseman, said, “I’m so delighted to be able to welcome so many in the water community back together once again for Ozwater in Brisbane this year.
“With the recent tragic flood events in South East Queensland and northern New South Wales, the importance of water management is front and foremost in the community’s minds.
“The discussions on climate change and extreme events will undoubtedly be critical and anticipated in light of these recent disasters.”
The event will explore 13 sub-themes in total. As well as Climate Change & Extreme Events, these will include:

• Rural, Remote & Regional Water
