Pacific Energy has established a new headquarters in Perth’s Airport Estate with an aim for the facility to  support continued expansion.

Pacific Energy signed an agreement with Skyfields to develop the new 17,100m2 facility with 5200m2 of office space, an 11,900m2 workshop and a two-level podium carpark.

The company says the workshop will be purpose built to facilitate the ongoing growth of Pacific Energy’s in‑house product manufacturing, including its locally designed and assembled stand-alone power systems and batteries.

Pacific Energy CEO, Mike Hall, said the move marks a significant milestone in Pacific Energy’s rapid growth and will support its ambitious future delivery goals.

“Since 2020, we’ve acquired five businesses, expanded our client offering, and more than tripled our workforce from 180 to over 600 people,” Mr Hall said.

“We want this new facility to enable the next important stage of our growth story – one that sees us achieving our vision of becoming Australia’s leading provider of clean energy solutions.”

“Our new headquarters will be home to the largest manufacturing facility of its type in Australia, giving us significantly more in-house capacity and capability to deliver the locally made products the market is demanding.”

“The building will also include a new state-of-the-art factory acceptance testing facility, so that we can build on the ways we support our customers and our portfolio of power assets.”

Pacific Energy has been operating one of the world’s largest stand-alone power system manufacturing facilities in the Perth Airport precinct since 2021

But the national demand for hybrid and renewable energy solutions in that time meant the company quickly outgrew its footprint.

“We’re really excited to be developing this new state-of-the-art facility in partnership with Skyfields, with the aim to consolidate over 30,000m2 of offices and facilities into one convenient location,” Mr Hall said.

“Our new premises will offer a world-class office environment to our ever-growing team and provide them with the modern facilities necessary to support a healthy life at work.”

The project is expected to create 450 jobs during construction and accommodate up to 400 employees once delivered.

Perth Airport Chief Property Officer, Dan Sweet, said, “With more than 600 successfully managed leases already across the Estate, we are focused on growing our $1.5 billion property portfolio in a strategic and sustainable way which will benefit our current and future partners, and economic growth in Western Australia.”

Construction is due to commence in early 2026, subject to development and building approvals, with Pacific Energy expecting to re-locate its head office to the facility in late 2027.
