The Power and Water Corporation (NT) has appointed a new Chief Executive.

Michael Thomson was voted by the board as the new Chief Executive, replacing current Acting Chief Executive, Djuna Pollard.

Power and Water Corporation Board Chair, Mr Alan Tregilgas, has praised Mr Thomson’s wealth of knowledge and experience.

“Mr Thomson’s leadership experience coupled with his strategic thinking and proven ability to deliver results makes him the right person to execute and lead Power and Water’s strategic priorities and drive sustainability across all its operations,” Mr Tregilgas said.

Mr Thomson has a background in various senior roles including his current position as Acting Chief Executive at United Energy and Multinet Gas. He has previously held the positions of General Manager Service Delivery, General Manager Commercial and Legal, General Counsel and Company Secretary.

“I would like to also take this opportunity on behalf of the Board to thank Djuna Pollard for her tireless support and contribution during the past months as Acting Chief Executive. Djuna will continue in this role until Michael’s arrival,” Mr Tregilgas said.

Mr Thomson will commence with The Power and Water Corporation on 23 November.
