Horizon Power’s Pilbara Underground Power Project (PUPP) is progressing well in the Onslow Light Industrial Area (LIA), as crews drill in conduits, excavate trenches and install cables and standing streetlights.

Works have begun in the residential streets of Second Ave, Third Ave, Cameron Ave and McGrath Ave now that work in the LIA is well underway.

Before civil works commenced in February 2017, thorough planning and consultation with relevant authorities was carried out to confirm the location of existing underground assets.

Horizon Power Manager Pilbara Network, James Carney, said, “We are working closely with our contractor Logsys to ensure that there is a smooth delivery of project works with minimal disruption to the community.”

Once civil works have been completed in the LIA, crews will progress works in the residential area.
