Redcliffe Sewage Treatment Plant (QLD) rehabilitation works are to begin soon. Trility has been contracted to carry out the works.
Local businesses and residents near the plant in Duffield Road Clontarf may soon notice heavy machinery and equipment being brought on site to begin the rehabilitation of the plant.
Simon Taylor, Executive Manager Infrastructure Planning and Capital Delivery at Unitywater said, “This marks the beginning of a major project that is expected to take our contractor Trility three years to complete.
“It’s important for the residents and businesses of the Redcliffe Peninsula because it will raise the standard of sewage treatment, making sure it meets both the expectations of community and Unitywater’s environmental obligations.”
The rehabilitation of the plant is estimated to cost $28.6 million in capital works. On completion the plant will service the equivalent of 70,000 people.
