The construction of a new 8.1km sewer rising main in Rockbank is underway as part of Western Water’s capital investment program.
The new sewer main will transfer sewage from Western Water’s new sewer pump station in Rockbank to the Melton Recycled Water Plant for treatment.
Western Water commenced construction in January 2017 in preparation for the rapid population growth expected in the area.
Rockbank, near the Western Freeway between Caroline Springs and Melton, is projected to be home to 75,000 residents in the next 20 years.
Workers are laying sewer pipes on the north side of Greigs Road, the Greigs/Leakes Road intersection and Troups Road North in April and May 2017.
