After almost six years at the helm, South East Water Managing Director, Lara Olsen, will conclude her tenure in December 2025.
The South East Water Board has commenced the search for the organisation’s next Managing Director, initiating a formal recruitment process through executive search firm Omera Partners, with an appointment and announcement expected later in 2025.
Ms Olsen was appointed as Managing Director on 17 February 2020, and is also a director of Iota, a wholly-owned subsidiary of South East Water, and a director on the Frankston Revitalisation Board.
South East Water Chair, Lynn Warneke, recognised Ms Olsen’s substantial contribution to the utility, the community it serves and the wider water sector.
“Lara is an outstanding leader, highly regarded within the organisation and throughout the water industry for her innovative approach to essential service delivery,” she said.
“Over the coming months, we’ll continue working closely with Lara to prepare for a smooth transition of leadership, while maintaining our commitment to delivering healthy water for life for our customers, community and the environment.”
