NBN Co. has renewed its contract with Service Stream for the design and construction of the fibre network to Greenfield new developments housing estates.

The renewal is effective for two years, with two one-year extension options. In addition to the existing locations under the contract of New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory, Service Stream may now also be awarded work in other regions.

The agreement is expected to generate an estimated $70M in revenue for Service Stream across the initial two-year term with the potential for additional revenues from other regions, with a further $70M potentially arising from the two one-year extension options.

Service Stream Managing Director, Terry Sinclair said: “Service Stream has been NBN Co’s leading partner in providing Greenfield new development design and construction services for the past few years. This new agreement further cements Service Stream’s ongoing relationship with NBN Co and shows our continued commitment to one of the nation’s leading infrastructure projects.”
